Terms and Conditions

Below we have set out our Terms and Conditions. Please ensure that you read and understand these carefully before placing an order with us. Through placing an order for the purchase of goods from Evoke Africa, and the subsequent receipt of an email sent by Evoke Africa confirming your order, you enter into a contractual agreement with us on the following Terms and Conditions. This contract shall be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom and shall be governed by the laws of England. If you require further clarification or information regarding any of our Terms and Conditions, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss these with you.

Orders & Payment

We accept orders from Mainland United Kingdom only.

If you have seen an item on our website which you would like to order but is out of stock, please contact us as we might have new stock on the way!

Once an order had been placed with us you will receive an email confirming the details of your order.

Payments are accepted through PayPal, as it is a safe and widely accepted method of payment for purchases on the Internet. PayPal accepts all major credit cards and you do not need an account with PayPal in order to make a payment using their service. Your transactions are protected by PayPal's highly sophisticated fraud prevention system.

In completing your order, you will be directed to Paypal's website, either to log in or (if you don't have an account) to enter your billing information. You will then authorise the payment, and be returned to this site, where you will confirm your order.


The prices displayed on our product pages are the full amount that you pay for the product - there are no additional or hidden costs for VAT or other taxes. Delivery costs are based on our expectation of what it will cost to send products, and delivery is free for all orders of £40.00 or more.

Evoke Africa reserves the right to change product prices and offers at our discretion, though once you add an item to your basket, that price is guaranteed for you. If you have any questions regarding our prices, please contact us directly.

Dispatch & Delivery

Upon receipt of your order details, Evoke Africa will dispatch your order on the next working day. Once your order has been dispatched we will send you an email confirming that it is on its way to you.

The majority of our customers buy our jewellery for special occasions or as gifts, and as such, we send all orders via Royal Mail using their First Class recorded delivery service. We use the recorded delivery service as we have found it to be the most reliable and efficient method of delivery, with the additional benefit that it allows us to track the order if necessary. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any delays once the package has been dispatched.

We will do what we can to ensure that your order is securely packaged. We care about our planet, and as such, when purchasing new packaging materials we use recycled items where possible. In keeping with the African theme of letting nothing go to waste, we also re-use suitable packaging materials provided by the wholesaler or artisans themselves (so keep an eye out for some interesting old newspaper articles from various African countries!).

Returns & Exchanges

Evoke Africa understand that despite our best efforts to show and describe our products to you, there is no substitute for seeing the item first-hand. In the event that you change your mind about the order or one of our products does not meet your expectations, we are happy to accept returns.

If you wish to cancel your order, you can do so for fourteen days after the day it was delivered. All you need to do is contact us in writing at info@evoke-africa.co.uk, quoting your order number, and we will get back to you with the information that you need to return the item. Please be aware that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. As soon as we have received the returned product (or within 30 days of cancellation) we will refund you the cost of the item and original delivery costs.

In the case of partial returns we will refund you the full cost of the item, however we are unable to refund original delivery costs.

In the event that your order contains a faulty product we offer a full refund for the product and we will also refund you the cost of returning the product to us.

All earrings are sent in transparent, sealed packaging to enable you to fully inspect your purchase. We regret that unless the earrings are faulty or you have been sent the incorrect item, we are unable to accept returned earrings for hygiene reasons.

Evoke Africa recommends that if you need to return an item to us, you do so via a recorded delivery service and retain the receipt until you receive confirmation that we have received the return.

We remind you that under the Distance Selling Regulations, as a consumer you have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the product in your possession during the period of cancellation. When you decide to cancel an order it is your duty to return the goods to us, taking reasonable care that we receive the goods and that they are not damaged in transit. In the event that you fail to return the goods to us and we are forced to make our own arrangements for the return, we are within our rights to charge you for the direct cost of those arrangements.

Product Information

Although made to a certain design, all of our products are handmade, often down to the beads themselves. This means that each product sold by Evoke Africa is completely unique, and likely to vary slightly from the image and size specifications. To us and the majority of our customers, this is what makes our products so special, but if you receive your order and you are not happy with it please see our returns policy for information on what to do next.

Privacy Policy

We use first-party Cookies to record the items that you put into your shopping basket, and to fulfill the checkout process. The only personal information we collect is that which you give us (via PayPal) during the checkout process (name, address, e-mail address) as required to fulfill your order. Under no circumstances will we sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal details to any third parties, except in those instances where permitted under the data protection act (for instance in order to investigate a crime).

We also use Google Analytics to provide an anonymised view of site usage, in order to improve how the site works. This page has more information on how Cookies work.
